If you’d like to apply for funding with the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Student Success and Engagement Office to support an experiential learning experience, you’ll use this application.Please note:
This funding is intended to supplement your individual experience and may not fund the entirety of it.
Grant Eligibility
All currently enrolled Fulton Schools undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing are eligible to apply for the following eligible experiences:- Study Abroad travel (airfare)
- Travel to present at a conference
- Professional Development Opportunities
- Student’s own ideas, which are subject to review per the application requirements

Required Materials
All applications require the following materials to be reviewed:
- 400-word minimum personal statement
This personal statement must be your original work. Experiential Learning Grant does not allow the use of generative AI tools for any portion of the application process, including personal statements. Students confirmed to be engaging in non-allowable use of generative AI may be at risk of being ineligible for the Experiential Learning Grant. |
- Unofficial Academic Transcript

- Experience Confirmation
(i.e. documentation that confirms this activity is occurring). If you are presenting at a conference, provide the confirmation message that confirms you will be speaking at the event. |
- Faculty mentor letter of support expressing their support for you to engage in this experience

We encourage you to use the different resources on campus, including the Writing Center, to present a well-written personal statement.
After your Experience
If you receive a grant, you must submit a focused reflection on your experience and at least one horizontal photo of you engaged in the experience (more are welcome) when you return.
Your reflection should summarize the outcomes of your event/project/travel and describe how the experience will enhance your engineering education and professional preparedness.
Please Note:
- Your reflection should be entirely your original work. Any indication of Generative AI usage will render you ineligible for future grant approvals.
- Failure to complete and submit the reflection may result in your ineligibility for future grant approvals.
After you submit your application, Student Engagement will respond within 14 business days.
You can be funded once per academic year.
